![]() To my surprise there was no metal shaving or any abnormalities, just black super dirty cvt fluid. I jacked up the car, unscrew the 19mm cvt drain plug and drained all the fluid. Headed tocmy local autozone and got my fluid. I decided to do my research and see how to change it and what type of fluid i needed. Then it just came to me… Maybe the car has never had a cvt fluid change since these cars come with a “lifetime transmission fluid”. So turns out i lived with the problem for about a year and just last week i was looking up possible solutions on repairs or other ways to fix my p0776 check engine light. i thought i was goinf to need a whole new transmission. I was mad because at this point my theories of having a fucked ip transmission started coming true. The transmission started acting up shortly after… high rpms, not wanting to shift up… Then i got a P0776 transmission code which is “pressure control solenoid B - Performance or stuck off”. I would be at a light, no check engine light on or nothing and when it turned green, i would go to press the gas and the car would not respond for at least 2 or 3 seconds and then it would go. car was fine, no issues for about 2 years… Fast forward to last year around January, the car was experiencing acceleration issues from a stop. So i bought a 2016 nissan altima in 2018 with about 30,xxxx miles on it. Hi just wanted to get some insight to see if any one else was experiencing this problem.
